What insurance do you accept?
Jessica is a Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Illinois PPO, Aetna PPO, Medicare, and United Health Care provider and considered Out-of-Network for other insurance plans. She provides Out-of-Network clients with documentation necessary to receive reimbursements from their insurance company.
What should I know about using my insurance plan?
Insurance plans vary and it is important to check your benefits before your first appointment. Please contact your insurance company to understand fully what your insurance plan covers. Any portion of the fee not covered by your insurance company is due at the time of your appointment.
Do you provide sessions via telehealth?
Due to Covid-19, Jessica is currently providing sessions only via telehealth.
How long are sessions and what are the fees?
Jessica offers a free 15-minute phone consultation for new clients.
Individual therapy session are typically between 50-55 minutes and cost $150.
She accepts payment through Ivy Pay, a HIPPA compliant phone application.
What is your cancellation policy?
The full fee is charged for missed appointments and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
Do you work with young children?
Unfortunately due to Covid-19, Jessica is no longer meeting with young children and families.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
The confidentiality of communications between client and psychotherapist is protected by law - information cannot be disclosed without a client’s written permission. However, please be advised that current law includes the following exceptions to confidentiality:
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s. The therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself. The therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, further measures may be taken without their permission in order to ensure their safety.
Where are you located?
Jessica’s office is located in downtown Oak Park at 1011 Lake Street. There is free 90 minute parking in the lot behind the building. The office is easily accessible via the Green Line.
